Definition
Programs that provide or help people obtain employment opportunities that require the job holder to work a minimum number of hours, generally 30 to 40 hours per week. In most instances, employers determine how many hours an employee must work in a week, or other designated time frame, to qualify as a full-time employee and thus receive full-time employee benefits such as annual leave, sick leave and health insurance.
