Programs that pay for or provide small, battery-operated devices worn by individuals who are experiencing chronic pain which sends electrical impulses to the nerves which lie just below the surface of the skin. The impulses block or interrupt the body's ability to send pain messages to the brain temporarily reducing or eliminating the individual's discomfort.
