Description:

Homebuying experts lead the HomeStart Series workshops, providing personalized housing counseling to first-time home buyers. Eligible program participants may qualify for 3:1 savings opportunity, allowing them to sae up to $2,500 and receive up to $7,500 in marching funds for a total of $10,000 that goes toward their first home.  Matched funds must be used toward the purchase of a first home within one year of completing the program, and participants always retain access to their personal savings, even if they do not complete a home purchase.

Must be a first-time home-buyer with a household income of 60-100% of AMI.

Description:

The Relocation Assistance Fund for Tenants (RAFT) provides funding for low-income renters in Salt Lake City who are displaced because of the demolition of their housing, a major renovation or rehabilitation of their housing, change of use of their housing (owner moving in, change to business use, etc.) or expiration of income or rent restriction on housing.

Eligibility:
Must be a resident of Salt Lake City and have an income of 80% or less of the area's median income, and experiencing a need to relocate due to renovation, demolition, the landlord selling the property or other change of use.
