Provides a variety of services to the growing population of senior/aging citizens throughout the county including a senior ride program, home delivered meals, homemaker assistance and errand/shopping assistance, specialized information and referral for aging services, in home respite care, an RSVP program, and long-term ombudsman services.
Description:

The in-home services bureau provides information and community resources on helping to care for a loved one, including referrals and help paying for respite services.

Eligibility:
Any caregivers experiencing a significant amount of stress relating to caregiving responsibilities. The individual being cared for must be over 60 and struggle with day-to-day activities.

Description:

Trained specialists discuss with senior citizens, spouses, parents, or friends what is needed for their situation and help them find the most appropriate resources.

Description:

Keeps frail adults in their own homes by providing and coordinating a variety of services. Clients' needs are assessed by a social worker who develops a care plan to address the needs identified. Services include housekeeping or chores, personal care, paying bills, or managing medical equipment.

Description:

Assists individuals aged 55 and older in finding meaningful volunteer opportunities in which to share experiences, abilities, and skills for the betterment of community and self. The program is specially designed to provide a variety of opportunities to meet the interests and time of the volunteer such as how much time to give, where to serve, and the type of service work.

Description:

Meals on Wheels provides nutritious weekday meals (Monday–Friday) to older adults who can not prepare their own food. Special diets prescribed by a doctor are also available.

Eligibility:
To qualify, adults must be Davis County residents aged 60 or older who are homebound, do not drive, and cannot prepare their own meals. They must also lack family or other resources to help with meal preparation.
