The primary duty of Children's Protective Services is ensuring child safety and working to strengthen parents and caregivers who are otherwise unable to meet their child’s needs. The work is focused on effective interventions regarding safety issues related to child abuse and neglect.
Child Abuse Prevention

Works with clients, the courts and the general public to report, investigate and prevent child abuse and neglect.

Eligibility:
Varies according to service, eligibility determined by local DCFS offices.
Service Hours:
M - F 8 am - 5 pm
