Provides information and resources to families that have children with cancer. Services provided are incidental medical expense assistance, health/disability related support groups, indigent transportation, and specialized information and referral.
Incidental Medical Expense Assistance
Description:

Provides financial support of $300 annually to eligible families. Funds can be used for mortgage, rent, utilities, childcare, health insurance premiums, car expenses, or treatment-related expenses.

Eligibility:
Families with a child that was diagnosed with cancer before their 18th birthday. If child has a brain tumor, the tumor must be high grade (3 or 4) to be eligible. The child must be a citizen of the US or reside in the US with a green card for more than 12 months without prior history of the current illness. Parents must have less than $5,000 in liquid assets. Child must have been inpatient for 30 consecutive days in the past 90 days. A letter documenting the child's stay from the social worker will also be needed.

Health/Disability Related Support Groups
Description:

Practical and emotional support to parents and caregivers of children with cancer through program case managers. Also operates a mentorship program that pairs young children in treatment with scholarship recipients.

Indigent Transportation
Description:

Provides transportation assistance to eligible families. Includes mileage reimbursement, airfare, and lodging.

Eligibility:
Families with a child that was diagnosed with cancer before their 18th birthday. If child has a brain tumor, the tumor must be high grade (III or IV) or anaplastic to be eligible. The child must be an impatient for 30 consecutive days over the past 90 days/ The child must be a citizen of the US or reside in the US with a green card for more than 12 months without prior history of current illness. Parents must have less than $5,000 in liquid assets.
