Community assistance organization that provides a variety of services in Ogden and Weber County. Services provided include GED/high school equivalency test instruction, Head Start, Early Head Start, English as a second language instruction, job finding assistance, VITA Programs, mental health expense assistance, and landlord/tenant dispute resolution.
Holiday Gifts/Toys
Description:

Holiday gifts for low income households in Weber and Davis County. This event includes resource fairs, life skills development classes for parents, a Christmas store, and a Christmas carnival for kids. Registration will be open from October 20th, 2023.

Eligibility:
Parents attend a class in finance or parenting online before receiving assistance. The links for the classes are in the registration form.

Intake Procedure:
Visit website to complete and submit registration form. The confirmation email received after completing the form is the entry ticket. It must be brought on the day of the event. Program will go until it is full. Call or visit website for information for family check in times.

GED/High School Equivalency Test Instruction
Description:

Program in partnership with the Weber School District for adults who did not graduate from high school and wish to take the GED test to continue their education, enroll in college, or qualify for jobs that require a high school diploma. The program covers the GED enrollment fee, but does not provide test preparation or instruction.

Head Start
Description:

A federal program that promotes the school readiness of children ages 3 and 4 from low-income families by enhancing their cognitive, social, and emotional development. Also provides educational activities, health services, nutritious meals, and self-sufficiency support for the entire family.

Early Head Start
Description:

Promotes school readiness for children ages birth to 3 from low-income families by enhancing their cognitive, social, and emotional development. Also offers home visitation program where families receive visits from teachers in their own home.

Eligibility:
Children ages 0 to 3. Families with children living with disabilities are highly encouraged to apply.

Job Finding Assistance
Description:

Provides a computer lab and assistance to create a career portfolio (resume, cover letter, references), as well as training on interview skills, job-search skills, networking, and assistance for transportation to interviews.

Landlord/Tenant Dispute Resolution
Description:

Provides tenant-landlord mediation, a voluntary process where the tenant and landlord involve a neutral party, the mediator, to help both parties come to a mutually beneficial resolution.
