The Other Side Village

Provides a homeless permanent supportive housing community for men and women coming out of chronic homelessness. Also provides food production/preparation/delivery volunteer opportunities and other related volunteer opportunities.
Description:

A self-reliant, master-planned neighborhood that provides affordable, permanent quality housing, access to social services, and a supportive community for men and women coming out of chronic homelessness. Onsite services include behavioral health case management, primary healthcare, employment opportunities, no-cost fresh produce, and other supportive services and activities.

Eligibility:
Must be 18 or older, meet the criteria for chronic homelessness, have lived in Utah for at least one year, demonstrate an interest in joining a sober living community, and have no history of sex offenses or arson convictions.

Description:

Provides food service and other related volunteer opportunities including serving dinner, setting up homes for new residents, stocking pantries, supporting and mentoring residents, sponsoring food for outreach events, organizing donation drives for clothing, toiletries, bedding, and towels, and assisting with fundraising events. Also looking for volunteers with specialized skills including mental health therapists, legal professionals, IT technicians, and yoga instructors.
