Child Abuse Prevention
Description:

Offers prevention programs to students, faculty, parents, and community members. Parents receive education on how to prevent predation from the internet, recognize the signs of bullying, and identify other forms of abuse in children. It also offers programs for educators to receive tools to stop abuse by taking action and reporting it to administrators and law officials.

Home Based Parenting Education
Description:

Through the Parents as Teachers program, provides in-home visits to educate and support parents. A certified parent educator is assigned to each family and visits at least twice monthly for an hour. Checks milestones, encourages parent-child interaction with age-appropriate activities, and ensures the family's basic needs are met by referring the family to community resources.

Low-income, at-risk families with children under the age of 5.

Description:

Prenatal/Postnatal Home Visitation Programs
Description:

The Nurse Family Partnership program provides support to fist time expectant mothers, giving advice and information to prepare for the child.

Eligibility:
First time expecting mothers that are pregnant 28 weeks or less. Income restrictions apply but vary, contact for details.
