Provides programs that support families and improve the educational outcomes of students living in Salt Lake City’s westside neighborhoods. Programs include adolescent English as a second language instruction and comprehensive immigration/naturalization services. Also, provides scholarships to immigrant students and a seasonal VITA Tax Clinic.
Comprehensive Immigration/Naturalization Services
Description:

Provides comprehensive naturalization services including information, legal counseling, application completion, and filing assistance as well as legal representation when needed.

English as a Second Language
Description:

Offers both a year-round and intensive summer English program supplementing public education for youth in grades 7 - 11. The summer program runs three hours daily for six weeks. The year-round English program runs from September - May.

Students in grades 7 - 11.

VITA Programs
Description:

Offers tax preparation assistance from February 1 - April 12, 2025.

Scholarships
Description:

The Perseverar Scholarship Program is a service-driven scholarship program for highly motivated immigrant students currently living in the Salt Lake area. Recipients of the scholarship will be required to volunteer with the No More a Stranger Foundation for 10 hours per week.

Eligibility:
Must be an immigrant student who is accepted or currently attending a public college or university, in good standing, and making satisfactory academic progress.
