Description:

Rape Crisis trained professionals are available to provide on-site support during a rape exam, offer counseling, and advocacy. On-going support groups help survivors cope with the after effects of assault.

Description:

Each family has their own private, secure room and unrestricted use of the fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, and outdoor playground. People experiencing domestic abuse can seek shelter 24-hours a day, seven-days a week. In addition to shelter, residents receive support services, counseling, group enrollment, food, clothing, and household goods.

Eligibility:
Shelter is for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors and their children. Crisis line must be called and be approved for shelter before coming in, as shelter is often full. If there is no room, help is offered to identify other resources.

Assists with the protective order or stalking injunction process. An advocate will discuss qualifications and options, assist with paperwork, file with the court, and accompany victims to the protective order hearing.

Provides safe two and three bedroom apartments as well as studio apartments for single tenants. Families rent the apartments for up to two years. Each adult and child receives individual case management designed to help survivors become self-sufficient and move toward a life free of violence.

Provides sexual assault examinations in Davis County. Nurses provide trauma-informed and patient-centered care to survivors of sexual assault. Sexual assault examinations include medical care, STI preventative medications, emergency contraception, and timely evidence collection and documentation of the sexual assault to aid in the investigation and prosecution.

Offers counseling and support groups for those experiencing domestic abuse and/or sexual assault survivors. Support Groups specifically for children who have witnessed domestic violence help children communicate their feelings and develop coping and conflict resolution skills.
