Assists low and moderate income people in Salt Lake City with first time buyer home loans, home rehabilitation loans, home maintenance and minor repair services, relocation assistance, and tenant rights information/counseling.
Description:

Provides low-interest loans or grants for low and moderate-income Salt Lake City residents to address health or structural issues in their homes. Offers lead-based paint remediation and radon gas testing services.

Eligibility:
Be the homeowner and occupy the home being repaired in Salt Lake City, be unable to obtain affordable credit elsewhere, and have a family income below 50% of the area median income.

Description:

Provides minor home repairs to low-income Salt Lake City seniors or individuals with disabilities. The maximum award amount is $1,500 per household. Also offers Fix the Bricks program providing discounted seismic retrofits of masonry homes.

Eligibility:
Salt Lake City residents 62+ OR individuals with disabilities. In addition, the family must have an income below 80% of the area median income.

Description:

The Relocation Assistance Fund for Tenants (RAFT) provides funding for low-income renters in Salt Lake City who are displaced because of the demolition of their housing, a major renovation or rehabilitation of their housing, change of use of their housing (owner moving in, change to business use, etc.) or expiration of income or rent restriction on housing.

Eligibility:
Must be a resident of Salt Lake City and have an income of 80% or less of the area's medium income.

Description:

Community navigators educate and help Salt Lake City renters find resources on topics including landlord concerns, eviction or relocation, tenant rights, affordable housing preparing for home ownership, financial stability, living in poor or unsafe living conditions, legal support, childcare challenges, physical or mental health challenges, and food insecurity. The community navigators do not provide rent payment assistance directly.
