Description:
Provides cremation services for Salt Lake County residents who meet eligibility requirements. Services are provided through contracted funeral homes.
Eligibility:
Decedent must have died within the confines of Salt Lake County, had an annual income of less than 150% of the federal poverty level, and maintained no life insurance, burial insurance, or a prepaid funeral plan.
Next of kin must have an annual household income less than 150% of the federal poverty level, maintains no life insurance, burial insurance, or prepaid funeral plans for the decedent OR is the next of kin unwilling to take responsibility for the remains, and neither will any friend or other individual or organization.
