Salt Lake County Youth Services - Main

Provides psychoeducational group classes to parents and guardians. Classes include Staying Connected with Your Teen and Guiding Good Choices. Also, classes are offered in Spanish.

Provides a crisis response line for teens in crisis and their families.

Provides a no-cost substance use disorder counseling for youth and young adults that includes a comprehensive evaluation and outpatient services. Referrals are made to other agencies for higher levels of care. The program provides a best practices treatment approach and includes individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and case management services.

Provides psychoeducation group classes for youth. Classes include The Body Project. This class helps young women resist pressure to conform to body ideals and aims to reduce the risk of eating disorders. ME Time focuses on assisting teens to manage emotions and increase positive engagement.

Provides shelter and transitional housing services to young adults aged 18 - 21. The "Milestone" program goals include helping clients obtain stable employment, and build skills, resources, and support within the community.

Provides 8 weeks of mental health therapy for Salt Lake County youth and young adults. Longer-term therapy is offered to clients who qualify financially.

The Juvenile Receiving Center (JRC) provides walk-in crisis counseling case management services and referrals to community agencies for youth in crisis and their families. Youth may come to the facility independently or parents may bring youth in for individual or family crisis counseling.
