They also provide separation/divorce support groups (divorce classes required by Utah state law), legal counseling options, and support groups for children of divorcing parents.

Description:

A voluntary program that offers classes to children and teens whose parents are separated or divorced. The program provides teens and children with communication skills to express their feelings to parents, coping skills, and the ability to let go of problems that are beyond their control, an experience that shows they are not alone, and a strong message that divorce is not their fault.

Description:

A state trial court of general jurisdiction over all civil cases, all criminal felonies such as homicides, assaults, sex and drug offenses, forgery, arson, robbery, and misdemeanors in certain circumstances. Another large part of the district court's caseload is domestic relations cases, such as divorces, child custody and support, adoptions, and probate. The court serves as an appellate court to review informal adjudicative proceedings from administrative agencies.

Description:

The State of Utah requires people who are divorcing to complete an orientation course. The purpose of the course is to present an overview of the divorce process as well as post-divorce resources. An additional educational course is required for parents who are divorcing.
