Builds and rehabilitates simple houses for sale at an accessible price point to eligible families. Families contribute to the house via sweat equity programs. Also provides a home rehabilitation program, and accepts volunteers.
Description:

Provides affordable housing to qualifying families in Salt Lake County by providing the opportunity to volunteer 225 hours as sweat equity. Families will contribute sweat equity and then be eligible for purchasing a house with a 0% interest mortgage.

Eligibility:
US citizens or legal residents who have lived and worked in Salt Lake County for the past 12 months. Individuals must not be current home owners or own any property, and must meet income guidelines listed on website.

M - F 9 am - 5 pm

Fees:
Monthly mortgage payments dependent on house build.

Description:

Critical home repair program that aids with removing health hazards and installing accessible adaptations. Can help make repairs including roofing, plumbing, electrical, water heaters, AC, mold, or windows.

Eligibility:
Must be a single-family, owner-occupied property built on a foundation in Salt Lake County. Must be a US citizen or legal resident.

$5,000 grant and then low-interest loan for the remainder of costs.
