It represents over 2,500 landlords and 105,000 housing units ranging from basement apartment owners to large international management companies. Also, provides in person and online landlord rights information/counseling classes.
Description:

A not for profit organization that represents a wide range of Utah landlords in the rental housing industry. Association members receive access to 45 state forms including a standardized lease agreement, access to state/national background checks and tenant screening services, continuing education opportunities, printed materials, and discounts on state/municipal licensing classes. Also, provides access to a rental best practices phone line.

Description:

The Good Landlord Program provides in-person and online classes on best practices for a landlord. Topics covered include Course topics covered include fair housing basics and landlord/tenant discrimination, tenant screening and background checks, evictions, abandoned property, and deposits.

Register for a class on the website. Classes are offered in Salt Lake City, Sandy, and Ogden.
Fees:
$59 for first time attendees and $40 for attendees who have taken the course previously.
