Pre-employment training and education for youth and students with disabilities. Provides life skills education for individuals with a disability to prepare for adult life and employment.

Eligibility:
Ages 14 - 22 with the presence of a physical or mental impairment, which constitutes a substantial impediment to employment, individual requires vocational rehabilitation services to become gainfully employed.

Description:

Vocational-related counseling and guidance (special programs for the deaf and hard of hearing as well as the blind and visually impaired). Purchase of and/or arrangements for pre-vocational and personal adjustment training, remedial education, vocational training, artificial limbs and other prosthetic and orthotic devices (eyeglasses and hearing aids), medical, surgical, psychiatric, hospital, and related care, obtaining tools, licenses, and equipment for work on a job or in establishing a small business; maintenance and transportation costs if needed during rehabilitation. Additional services include job placement, post placement follow-up, job development, and job-seeking skills training.
