Senior Companion Program
Eligibility
Call or email to learn about participation or volunteering. Volunteers in Senior Companions must be age 55 or older, have income at or below 150% of Federal Poverty Level, and pass a criminal background check. Senior Companions receive a tax-exempt stipend of $4.00/hour, mileage reimbursement of $.41/mile, and meal reimbursement of $1.25/meal.

Description
Finds older adult volunteers who help seniors through assisted transportation, companionship, and respite for caregivers. Volunteers receive a monthly stipend and mileage reimbursement. The Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) can also provide limited volunteer companionship.
