At least 55 years of age, able to pass an extensive FBI fingerprint background check and National Sex Offender Registry check. Monthly income of $2,265 or less for a single person, $3,052 or less for 2 family units. Able to serve 20 hours per week.

Description
The program pairs volunteers who are 55 years and older with at-risk children and students who need extra support with literacy or school readiness skills. Volunteers receive a small, tax-free stipend of $3.00 per hour while working with students in schools, preschools and day care centers.
