RSVP Program
Eligibility
Call if interested in being a volunteer or a client who needs a volunteer. Volunteers must be 55 and older. Preferably retired or with a desire to provide at least 1 hour of community service a week, with flexible hours. Clients served are homebound, disabled, isolated, or otherwise would like companionship or respite relief. Volunteers undergo a criminal background check.

Description
Per the client's level of comfort, an RSVP volunteer provides companionship through in person visits, phone calls, and/or letter writing. RSVP volunteers also provide respite which is temporary relief for disabled/dementia caregivers. RSVP Volunteers are a liaison to provide information about community resources, such as grocery shopping, transportation, and other services necessary to maintain independence.
