Walk in during normal hours or call to schedule an appointment for specific serivce assistance. The homeless outreach team has a desk on the library's first floor.
Description
The library homeless drop in center is located only at the downtown main library. Library social workers provides light case management services to people experiencing homelessness and distributes snacks, clothing vouchers, in state ID/birth certificate vouchers, hygiene products and certification form assistance. Case management includes coordinating homeless services with community partners, enrolling people in benefits and housing programs, coordinating medical/dental care, justice court search assistance and employment assistance services. Providing transportation to hospitals, Volunteers of America's Detoxification Center, and domestic violence shelters in Salt Lake County.
